Thinking about snow

Some disconcerting news today out of the 'Boat as I was informed that Opening Day has been pushed back to November 30th. I've been thinking about snow ever since.

So this is a special post for my sister. According to the Internet (which is never wrong) here are some things you can do in the meantime to help bring on the snow:

-- Wear your pajamas inside out.
-- Flush ice cubes down your toilet.
-- Put a spoon under your pillow.
-- Run around the kitchen table five times (maybe run around your snowboard table instead).
-- Hang a wool sock over your bed.
-- Sleep with your window open 1 inch.
-- Run around your house several times, lay down on your back and count to 30.

It might also help if you could fashion some sort of device that could control the weather.

Snow snow snow snow snow snow snow snow snow snow snow snow!

Perfect post for those of us that are supersticious. We will be doing all of the list (maybe not the window open an inch) but almost all of the list to try to bring the snow. It is a sad day when the opening day gets pushed back........ GO SNOW!!!!!!

The problem isn't the snow... it's the corporation. They didn't time the base construction correctly and need more time to finish up. 7 other resorts are open right now because it IS possible. i could go on and on and on about how ticked i am. in the meantime, i'll be working on the list just for some extra powder. the good news is it is a la nina winter coming and should bring lots of champagne powder to the boat in december and january.

As I sit here in the library, studying for a Chemistry exam, at Vermont Tech I am watching it snow. Last night we were supposed to get 6" of heavy wet snow. Never happened. Now today they are saying we will get just a few inches. I believe I saw that Stowe and Sugarbush plan to be open this weekend. Very limited but they will open. Any snow that falls now for us will more than likely melt as the ground in the valleys is nowhere near frozen.
It can snow all it wants to after our driveway freezes. That way our plow guy won't be grtading the driveway as he removes the snow. That just makes for a nasty clean up in the Spring.
